PATRICK J. CURTIS, JR.
Mr. Curtis is a Senior Manager and is responsible for managing audit engagements for a wide range of clients, with a primary focus on not-for-profit organizations and government contractors. Mr. Curtis’ experience with not-for-profit organizations includes audits of trade associations, educational institutions, membership organizations, and entities that receive Federal award and other grant funding. These engagements have included the specialized requirements of audits performed under Government Auditing Standards and OMB Circular A-133. Mr. Curtis has also performed audits of qualified pension plans and for clients subject to regulation by the SEC.
In addition to traditional audit services, Mr. Curtis’ experience also includes due diligence in support of client mergers and acquisition activity; financial calculations related to debt financing arrangements; collateral review engagements for financial institutions; and program specific audits for a Federal agency.
Mr. Curtis has been with R&M for over seven years. Prior to that, he was a police officer for five years and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for six years. Mr. Curtis is a CPA and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accounts, and the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland.
