PATRICIA A. O'MALLEY
Ms. O'Malley is a Senior Manager and provides
services to the firm's not-for-profit clients. Ms. O'Malley
reviews forms 990, provides technical expertise, manages audits,
and performs a variety of management and accounting consulting services.
She is a frequent speaker and writer on a variety of topics specifically
related to the concerns of not-for-profit organizations, including
tax, auditing, and other issues.
Prior to joining R&M, Ms. O'Malley was the
Assistant Vice President of Finance for a large trade association
and its related charities. She was responsible for the organization's
accounting, reporting, tax, and budgeting functions as well as other
financial activity.
Ms. O’Malley is a CPA and is the President
of the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants
(GWSCPA). She has been a long-time volunteer with GWSCPA, and, before
her current role, she served as Vice President of the Board of Governors
and chaired the GWSCPA Nonprofit Financial Accountability Task Force.
Ms. O'Malley is a member of the Form 990 Changes Tax Force of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and was previously
a member of the Tax Exempt Organization Taxation Technical Resource
Panel. Ms. O'Malley received a Bachelor of Science degree
from the University of Maryland.
